Even though the package says "rice cake" I think of it as more of a noodle. I've made this from scratch before and it's more work than it was worth. Basically, you mix sticky rice flour with water and then you steam the dough. After the dough is cooked, you shape it and then slice it. Sure, the process sounds pretty easy, but working with the sticky dough is not so easy.
